From America’s Test Kitchen?
Ingredients
- 2 Cups + 2 tbsp (10.6oz) Flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 12 tbsp Melted, butter
- 1 Cup (7oz) Light brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup (3.5oz) Sugar
- 1 Egg + 1 Yolk
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1.5 (9oz) Semisweet Chocolate Chips
Steps
- Preheat oven to 325°F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Beat butter and sugar until smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Add egg and vanilla. Beat till combined.
- Add flour in 3 additions untill just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Roll into 2 tbsp balls space 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
- Bake (1 sheet at a time) for 20 minutes each.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving
Notes
- Slap the pan on the counter half way through baking and after
- Leave a slice of bread in the jar, after cookies are stored, to make cookies softer
